F'd Street

Attorney Matthew Callister has joined forces with rabble-rouser Al Sharpton in an attempt to stop the closure of F Street, the so-called "gateway" to the historically black neighborhood, due to ongoing work on the $240 million I-15 North widening project. From the RJ:
On Tuesday, residents Ora Bland and Estella Jimerson along with the local chapter of activist Al Sharpton's National Action Network filed a lawsuit in Clark County District Court seeking to shut down the project until officials agree to reopen F Street.
And Callister didn't shy away from getting his sound bite in:
Attorney Matthew Callister, who is representing Bland and Jimerson on a pro bono basis, called the permanent closure of F Street "the worst incident of race-based segregation" he had seen in Las Vegas.
Wow, that is a strong statement coming from someone who could be the whitest guy in Nevada.

Don't worry, the last lawsuit that delayed a Vegas highway project (filed by the Sierra Club) only cost Nevada taxpayers an estimated $20 Million. Why should we put the convenience of millions ahead of the "history" of tens? Go get 'em, Matt.

  1. The only thing F Street is a "gateway" to is crime, drugs and a sense of entitlement. Those residents should thank NDOT for closing that underpass (where most of these transactions take place).

  3. To be fair to Callister, the whole thing does smell a little fishy. The NDOT wasn't planning to close it, but the city asked them to? And the closure comes as the city is trying to seal the deal for a major development project on Union Park? Which project might not be as valuable if the customers of the development kept getting their stuff broken into or stolen and sold for crack money? Sounds like he might actually have a case, even if I think the cause is stupid.

  4. Sad thing:

When an attorney represents a client, he is only a strong attorney, based on the merit, the integrity, and the character of his clients.

    For example:

Matt Callister, represented a woman named Terry Mosley, who says she was MARRIED to a district court judge, and the truth is: SHE HAD HER NAME LEGALLY CHANGED TO HIS, and represents that she is the ex-wife of Judge Don Mosley. Terry Figliuzzi-Mosley, also says that she had ownership of property, which SHE NEVER OWNED....

I suppose, Matt Callister learned the truth of his former client, and that is why he sued her. It is very difficult to represent a person, when they lie and deceive people, especially their attorney/attorney's (Andrew Meyer's ~ Lee Drizen ~ Randall Roske)....Kudo's for Matt Callister, who finally realized the TRUTH!

    Terry Figliuzzi-Fields-Mosley, lacks credibility!

  5. Mr. Callister,

I have good news! Theresa Figliuzzi or Theresa Fields or the infamous Terry Figliuzzi Mosley, who never married a judge, but instead had her last name legally changed, so she could call herself, the "wife" of a judge, or the ex-wife of a judge, just got arrested!

Terry Figliuzzi Mosley, on March 13, 2009, was arrested by Henderson Police, for the three warrants that have been issued for her arrest. Well, now people can see what happens to Terry Figliuzzi Mosley, on March 16, 2009, when she appears in front of her first judge, before she gets transported to the other detention centers, which have a hold on her.

    Good news!

  6. Terry Mosley was transported to Clark County Detention, last night March 16, 2009, after pleading guilty to her contempt of court and numerous NSF checks....Tomorrow, March 18, 2009, Theresa Figliuzzi aka Terry Mosley, will appear in court at 7:45 am, in front of Judge Oesterle....Hopefully, the many criminal acts are catching up with this wicked woman, and this predator will remain behind bars.
