Where's the Party?

We are attempting to compile a list of the locations & extravagance level of local firms' Christmas functions this year and need your help. Did you get an extravagant affair catered at the Bellagio, or were you stuck meeting at Chili's for drinks after work because of "economic concerns." Let us know at nevadalegal@gmail.com or by posting in the comments. Results to be posted next week.

  1. My firm, of only about 9 attorneys, had an extended lunch thing with drinks. It lasted most of the afternoon and was at a really great restaurant at a well known Strip casino.

  2. Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck had theirs at the Wynn (Steve is a client). It was very nice ... lots of booze!

  3. Marquis & Aurbach's is/was at the Paiute Golf Club. They are/were bussing everyone out and back so they could drink themselves stupid without consequence.

  7. How about sharing information that's a little more important, like bonuses? Anybody getting them this year?

  8. You could probably parse out the potential for bonuses by the location of these parties. Example - Brownstein Hyatt: Likely; ATMS: Not very likely

  9. I'm sure the Heavy Hitter isn't throwing a very exciting party; you know, with the rehab and all...

  10. LSC was at LV Country Club where Mr. Lionel lives

  11. ATM&S Bonuses...$10/hr for 2001-2100, $30/hr for 2101-2200, $40/hr for 2201+ AND as you pass each level the amount relates back to the entire amount of hours over 2000.

Also, $6000 is given every 6 months as a standard raise.

  12. LBBS announced a few months ago the cancellation of all its holiday parties firm-wide due to (ahem) "security concerns." Ho. Ho. Ho.

  13. Re: ATMS bonuses,

That sounds pretty good, the only question remaining is: How easy/difficult is it to bill over 2000 hours at ATMS?

I wonder how many associates will be benefiting from that bonus structure this year.

  14. Considering the fact that they are hourly employees, shouldn't they be getting time and a half for over 2000?
