Word on the street is that
Kirk Lenhard may be leaving
Jones Vargas to join
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, and he may be taking some talent with him (reports vary from 2 associates to 6 other shareholders).
That's all we've got ... help us fill in the blanks if you know anything.
Kirk's taking 4 attorneys and some support staff with him - eviscerating the JV litigation section of its talent
ReplyDeletePlease -- no 50-cent words unless you've been properly trained on how to use them in a sentence.
ReplyDeleteProvide names, which attorneys? JV has more litigation attorneys than just 5 total.
ReplyDelete@8:35 Grammar Nazi FAIL
ReplyDelete9:05 - Douchebag SUCCESS for you.
ReplyDelete1. Grammar nazis pick at stuff like typos. When people throw around fancy words, they should do it properly.
2. 8:26's error is minor, but it is an error.
@10:03 The opposite of FAIL is WIN - not SUCCESS. Lurk moar.
ReplyDelete@ 10:03
ReplyDeleteTypos = Spelling Nazi
Sentence Structure = Grammar Nazi
sincerely,
D-bag (not 9:05)
This post has been defiled by a bunch of troglodytes.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should update these references. How about "spelling taliban" and "gramar-quaida"
ReplyDeleteAnyone going to the CCBA's Meet Your Judges Mixer tonight at the Four Seasons from 6pm-9pm? Anyone know what judges will be there?
ReplyDelete@10:33(1) A group of troglodytes is more likely a "tribe" - almost certainly not a "bunch." COLLECTIVE NOUN FAIL.
ReplyDelete@10:33(2) Nice.
I've got a guy on the inside who says Kirk's taking two attorneys plus two secretaries and a paralegal.
ReplyDeleteThat leaves 12 litigation attorneys in their Vegas office...hardly an evisceration but obviously Kirk's a big gun, so they'll miss him.
Lenhard's filling a spot recently vacated at Brownstein, right? So JV now goes and recruits a litigation group from somebody else...does anybody actually make any more money when this kinda shuffling goes on?
ReplyDeletezzzzzzzzzz......zzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteDoes Sandoval have to leave JV too if he becomes governor?
ReplyDeleteAmen 11:09
ReplyDelete"Does Sandoval have to leave JV too if he becomes governor?"
ReplyDeleteAnswer: No, he'll continue to pretend to bill 2100 hrs and be full-time governor.
My vote for LAMEST question of the year!
Can we run another post on the hottest attorneys already???? This profession is filled with some uggos but there are a few gems out there. Calling all civil and criminal hotties.
ReplyDeleteI agree with 743 but we need pictures this time, and not the pictures from 1994 half these attorneys put up on their websites.
ReplyDeleteJV might be glad it doesnt have to lay people off now, although lehnard wouldnt not have been the one on the chopping block. it will be interesting to see who he takes
ReplyDeleteI presume KL's addition is to replace the group that Pisanelli took when he left. Confirm?
ReplyDeleteThere's a hot lookin blonde that frequents bk court these days in super short skirts. Haven't caught her name, but she makes an hour in front of Markell pass pleasantly.
ReplyDeleteShes still on contested matters and parroting what her boss tells her to say, but I'm not listening anyway. The skirts, and the contents thereof, are something to admire for sure.
Me think JV in Vegas is in trouble (and has been for a while). Could be KKBRF style break up round two...
ReplyDelete@2:31,
ReplyDeleteJV might be in trouble? Gawddamn. Is there no firm in Vegas safe for an unemployed law grad?
WTH @ 9:37
ReplyDeleteYou see a hot blonde in super short skirts who "frequents" BK court, which at the very least infers that you have been there on multiple occasions when she is there. Despite that fact, you can't even provide her name or where she works???? It is a good thing you went to law school, because you would not make it 3 minutes as a PI.
Hey, 11:28 - cut 9:37 some slack. Its tough to remember names when you have a mad game of pocket pool going on in BK court...
ReplyDeleteSo who is the mystery blonde? Miley? The judge from Louisville?
ReplyDeleteNow there is actually a post on here that I care to follow.
JV is still fielding the Allstar team...Cohen has been there 25+ years litigating and trying cases..and Stolworthy and Vellis too, and throw in Peterson, Wahdhams, Akridge, Goodhearts, Joe Brown, Sande, Alonso, Raggio,Sandoval,Chubb,Jost....the list goes on and on...still sounds like the big red juice machine.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a JVer trying to convince themselves they still work for a relevant firm
ReplyDeleteRumores indicate JV isn't much more "settled" up North either!
