Friday Open Thread

Happy Friday everyone!

It's been a good week for some of you newly-minted (pending swearing in, of course) attorneys.

Congratulations to those who passed, condolences to those who did not. Hope to see all of you out at the big CPK bash tonight!

  2. Not even close. The "first" bit is old hat. Tosh is pretty original.

  3. Did anyone else get that crazy email earlier this week about HOA syndrome? At first I thought it was a joke. No wonder people hate lawyers.

  11. pathetic, but i am actually really excited for the party tonight. I'm not big on lawyer events (because most lawyers are self-rightous better-than-you jerks) but this is one event that is just all around fun. I mean who doesn't love an event that has free beer trucks, wine served in plastic cups, and unlv cheerleaders in uniform around a bunch of drunk old creepy lawyers?

  12. HOA syndrome. I love it. When you can't find any more criminals, you've got to make more crimes.

  13. HOA syndrome seems to be an effort by Kurt Harris to whip up some work. See hoasyndrome.com Look around the site -- pure comedy gold. Happy Friday

  14. I already hired the HOA Syndrome expert. SO excited! Let's see if McDonald Highlands HOA can overcome this expert.

  15. My HOA is causing my sexual dysfunction? Damn and all these years I thought it was my fat ugly wife who was causing my lack of excitement....

  18. Judging by the website, this is an new "expert" using the stupidest attorney he could find to drum up some fees.

  19. You guys be careful tonight. Find a designated driver, or be one.

OMG, poor Jack. Does he play on the other team? I hate to say it, but I would have kicked his fag ass in school.

  24. The HOA Syndrome thing is a joke, tongue-in-cheek kind of thing. Isn't it?? Please tell me it is.

  27. how was the party? any fights?

    ReplyDelete
  28. No, but lots of belly bumping.

  29. Does anybody out there know anything about the average salaries for family law attorneys? What does the average solo practitioner with 5-10 years of experience make? How about somebody with 5-10 years of experience working at a small or mid-sized family law firm? I'd appreciate any information about family law salaries.

  30. Did any of the Lerner attorneys offer money to the Rebel cheerleaders in exchange for being able to lick their rear ends?

    ReplyDelete
  31. hey does anyone have any info on the PD who just got into trouble?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not a single post-party report? Drunk judges? Drunk lawyers? Hook-ups? Fights? Other embarassing moments? Those of us who had to go home to our young families on Friday want a report!

  33. Anyone notice how the RJ went out of its way to slam Kuzemka? Ouch. She must have said something to tick them off.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 12:21 PM

You didn't have to go home to your young family. You chose to. A consequence of your decision is that info on all the hook-ups between drunk attorneys, judges and top-heavy paralegals will forever be denied to you. Go in peace.

  35. Kuzemka is trying to pull a Walsh on Billy. That lowers her to Walsh status which is never good.

  36. Dr. Robin Huhn is a chiropractor. I wonder how she fits into the HOA Syndrome garbage. Perhaps she needs money also. I wonder why she is serving as the contact person for this HOA syndrome. I would love to defend a case on a HOA syndrome issue. It would be a gass and would be fun to show up both Huhn and Harris.
