Meet "Eviler Ed" ...

Not sure about you guys, but this is getting a little too Lincoln/Kennedy for us.

The ravishing Judge Stefany Miley's husband Ed Miley (yes, Ed ... just like that other guy) was arrested last Thursday on a domestic battery charge. From the LV Sun:
... [Judge Miley] called police from a neighbor’s house about 8:30 p.m. to report a domestic violence incident involving her husband, the report said. Miley told police at the neighbor’s house that her husband was “drinking heavily” and choking their dog, which had bitten him.

Miley said that when she tried to stop her husband from choking the dog, he pushed her to the floor in front of their children. Then she and her children fled to the neighbor’s house in fear, the report said.

Earlier in the evening, Miley said her husband had pushed her and struck her in the chest with the back of his hand.
Well, in all fairness, the odds of Ed's blow landing on her chest were pretty high. [Rimshot!] Eviler Ed continued his parade-o-class once police arrived:
Police said he told a lieutenant he “would like you to arrest better looking hookers because I am tired of defending ugly ones."
Well, maybe it's just that good-looking hookers actually have the money to hire decent representation. Besides, does Ed own a mirror?

If memory serves, Judge Miley's next appearance in the paper will be after she orders her bailiff to perform inappropriate favors. That lucky bastard.

(LV Sun, Thanks to everyone who sent this in!)

  2. Couple a Texans actin' all Texan an' stuff. Yeeeehaaaaaaaw! Not ta worry hun'. Jus' stand by yer man.

I wonder if District Court judges in other major cities have these types of problems. There must be something about that department. Next he'll smack little Steffy with a frying pan.

Let's get the train rolling again about how hot she is.

  3. The last story about her had to do with her mixing it up at her kids' soccer game. This can't be good for her children. These people are in need of some intense therapy.

  4. Note to women attorneys: do not run for District Court Judge for Dept. XXIII. It is apparently cursed.

  5. Note to women attorneys who are actually qualified to be a judge: go ahead and take a shot. Perhaps the so-called curse has less to do with them being women than it does with them both being unstable.

  6. I agree whole-heartedly with Anon @ 8:34 a.m. Isn't this the guy who taught the criminal practice portion at this year's Bridge the Gap seminar? The NV State Bar couldn't find anyone else? Really? This place is a hole.

  7. Who actually thinks she is hot? Not!!!!

  8. Hot? She's tall, has a big fake rack and takes pretty good care of herself too. But that nose is horrific. And she's not fooling anyone with that dye job. Bottom line, she's a Vegas B+ MILF. Problem is, she's really dumb, like most Vegas MILFs and she kind of has a stick up her ass.

  9. Dept. 23 must be cursed... thinking not getting that clerkship was a good thing.

  10. This what makes this a great blog. Thank you for showing no fear in exposing the jerks of the legal community for what they are. I check in evry once in a while just to see what buffonery is going on - and I'm seldom disappointed. Can anyone shed light on whay we, as a community, can't elect better judges?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Why can't we elect better judges? The answer is contained in the question. The whole problem is electing judges. How do we get better judges? Stop electing them. Go to an appointment process, with a retention vote. Qualified judges, with a democratic check on horrible judges/cronyism. See our neighbor to the southeast who employs such a process.

  12. 10:42 Amen, brother / sister.

Yeah, having sleazy lawyers give bri--er, contributions to sleazy jurists, how can we lose?

  13. This prom queen debutante judge seems to have a dirty little secret.

  14. This is a sad situation for the Miley's. Randy always appeared "happy", likable, and kind. I know that there had been medical issues in his life, and one can only wonder if different medication's along with the alcohol, could create this bad behavior. Regarding Stephanie Miley, what is her excuse for the incident on the Soccer course? Her ego is so inflated and her knowledge of the law is zero, that Department 23 has too many ghosts of the past ~ there needs to be an exorcism done in that department.

  15. She's a gajillion times hotter than Halverson, which puts her soundly in the "average" category. Let's just agree she's hot for a judge.

  16. Randy Miley IS NOT a nice guy. He is a drunk and a JERK! This is not the first time he has "fought" with his wife. This has been going on for a long time. Their poor kids are the ones to suffer. They have his temper. To hurt your dog and your wife in front of your children? Let's stop making excuses for BAD behavior. Don't excuse this as he was stressed out so what? Really, do you stress out and blow a fuse and HIT your wife in front of your kids and scare the daylights out of her so she, a Dist. Court Judge has to run to the neighbors and call the police? Do you have any idea of how scared she was to do this? And make a report? The man was choking a DOG! CHOKING A DOG! He should be put away.... let's see if the LVMPD and the Judge's do their job this time. Wasn't his wife involved in a fight with a mom on a soccer field about a month ago? The whole family needs intensive counseling

  17. It is interesting how the review journal reported on the fact that Edward Miley was arrested for assaulting his dog yet they did not report on the coverup of the assault charges filed against Stefany Miley. In August of this year, Stefany assaulted a soccer mom. Despite the soccer mom filing charges and naming Stefany as the person who assaulted her, the entire incident was covered up. In fact, all that was known about the incident was when a police man twittered his superior to find out what to do cause the named assailant was Stefany Miley. KLAS is the only media outlet who had a very short story about the incident. No one has sought to bring this coverup to light. I guess its just more of the poor get jailed and the rich get bailed right out of trouble.

  25. New here... what's ATL blog and LU?

    ReplyDelete
  26. ATL = Abovethelaw.com - probably the biggest gossip legal blog which primarily focuses on big firms in larger markets.

LU = Legally Unbound, commenter on wild wild law and author of another blog focusing on the NV Legal scene. LU often infuriates other posters which makes for good reading here.

  32. wtf? seriously like on his hands and knees have a personality clash with a dog?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Someone told me the dog had to be put to sleep. He was way too gone for any vet to save him. Disgusting person.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @1:43--wow, someone from Marty Kravitz's firm making an inappropriate, sexist and disgusting comment that should come from the mouth of a little boy a not a grown, educated man? SHOCKER! I wish the dudes at that firm would stop trying to re-live their youth--they are all wannabes with little d**ks who try to make up for their "shortcomings" (literal and figurative) with rolexes and boring expensive cars. And as far as Miley being hot...omg....you dorks in the legal community need to get a grip--9 in the legal community but a 3 in the street. I know I know, you didn't get laid in highschool or college (well, most of you anyway) so your standards are low but seriously....Ew.
