Guest Post

[Ed note: A little while go we received an email from a WWL "fan/reader" who wondered if our audience would be interested in a little "prose" every once in a while to break up the legal gossip posts. We're willing to try anything once--and who are we to deny someone the potential wrath of our commenters--so we asked him to put together a sample. Here, for your enjoyment, is our brave friend's post. Let us know what you think.]

Post retracted at request of writer. Retraction post not posted out of respect for readers.

  1. If we're going to talk about BK Court, we might as well be giving additional hints about the mythical BK Hottie. I love her and I've never met her . . . or seen her . . . but in my mind, my tormented-document-review-filled-mind, she is a goddess.

  2. Brave indeed. However, I feel like I'm reading little more than a week's worth of glorified tweets. Let's leave the blog to legal gossip...

  3. Too long, did not listen.

  4. It didn't really have a beginning or ending.

Distressed debt is very sexy right now.

  5. I thought it was pretty good, although I can't imagine it becoming a weekly article here. I don't know how much appetite the WWL readers have for BK lawyer hijinks... unless they involve detailed descriptions of the BK Hottie.

  6. BK court is a safe harbor of sanity in a crazy world. If I were to become a judge, it would be in BK. Unlike certain "business court" judges at the EJDC, BK judges actually know business law, and the "UCC" is not last night's headline band.

  7. Enjoyed. But, then, I practice BK.

  8. If he had thrown in the N word, the F word and the other F word, readers here might have stayed engged.

  9. If BK Hottie is who I think she is, then she was all cozied up with Mark of The Killers late Sat/early Sun at Dino's.

  10. no offense to the writer, but please never post that again. I second the notion that this blog should be reserved for legal gossip, not bk ramblings

  11. Has anyone heard the rumor George Foley died? Anyone out there to confirm or deny?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long; didn't read. Items of this length should be in the Nevada Law Journal.

  13. When is the CPK party? This Friday or next Friday?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'd rather see pictures of BK Hottie (clothed or otherwise) posted in place of this article.

    ReplyDelete
  15. CPK Party is October 8 (always the Friday before Bar Results Day). Are the Lerner goons showing up to this one?

    ReplyDelete
  16. CPK party is always the 2nd Friday in October. The scheduling of the party has nothing to do with the bar results. It just works out that some years the results come out on the day of the party. It is just a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bar results come out before the CPK party this year (Thursday, October 7th).

1014 here. Show some cajones. Out who you think she is. I will confirm or deny today only until 5pm.

  19. First name starts with a J, went to Boyd, works for one of those BK guys on TV. -10:54

What are you scared of? You're posting anonymously. If you're not going to say her name, at least give us some better identifying info. Which BK lawyer on TV?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Rigdon with Goldberg?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Does anyone know if Dr. Seymore Bush is reputable?

  23. @ 4:30

Are you talking about the gynecologist? I don't know. I didn't go to med school, rather, I chose to simply make gynecology my hobby rather than my profession.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm not scared about outing myself, just don't see need to throw her name around here needlessly. I gave enough info that if you knew her, you'd know who I was talking about. -1054.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 4:46 Yes, the gynocologist. It sounds as though his marketing efforts are at least infiltrating the marketplace. Cheers to you and your hobby!

  26. 10:54 throwing BK Hottie's name out there is exactly what this blog is about -- tabloid gossip. So throw it out there. Inquiring minds want to know, especially since not all of us find ourselves in BK court with such eye catching attractions.

  27. @11:28 Yes, Geroge Foley Sr. did pass away.

  28. There's enough info on here now to know who I'm talking about. However I googled her and no pics came up-10:54.

  29. I think the names of young attorneys (less than 5 years) should not be thrown about, unless they thrust themselves into the spotlight somehow (e.g. run for judge). No need to create a google footprint for people who aren't asking for it and who haven't had enough time to make a name for themselves in their chosen profession. I want to know who BK hottie is as much as the next guy, but unless she outs herself or is past 5 years of practice, I think it should remain secret.

  30. Howard Brooks really stood up for humanity today at the inquest. Proud of you Howard.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Farewell, George Foley. You will be missed.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Farewell, Brian Dykstra, NLV Justice Court Bailiff. Brian was killed in a motorcycle accident approximately 0200 on 09/27/2010. You were always very engaging and friendly, even though we didn't know each other well. You too will be missed.

  33. Howard Brooks made Mosher look like a genius. Embarrassing. Isn't discrediting eye witness testimony bread and butter for someone in the defense bar? Guess he doesn't buy his own hype. Regardless he could not have been more clumsy on the stand. Buffoon.

  34. I had a case with George Foley in teh last couple years. he was always pleasant and professional. RIP.

    ReplyDelete
  35. 4:01 AM - Generally correct, but not in every case. I have filed Ch 7 for individuals making more than six figures with a small household. It takes some work and other factors are at play, but I definitely recommend anyone who cannot meet their obligations as they come due visit with a qualified BK attorney.

You are mistaken in any event. Sorry for not confirming or denying sooner, but I do have a practice to run.

    Signed,
The Lawyer who outed the BK Hottie(s).

    ReplyDelete
  37. You outed the BK hottie? Where and when? And how did I miss it?

While I've wanted to know, I never asked because she hasn't asked to have her name put out here. But since you've already outed her somewhere, please let inquiring minds know.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Extremely good blog...I need to find the music so I can kick back too..if I know what that means since I don't practice in that field.. BK writes well and has a great perspective.maybe we can have a different type of blogs .. Coroner autopsy blogs..personal injury blogs with actual scenes from deceived clients real estate blogs where homes and people disappear from court records; judicial blogs with all the dirty laundry hanging out..oh!, we already have that?.ah, oh well, goodnight John Boy

  39. lets hope that the blog was not from a bankruptcy trustee's assistant or that person should be fired as it clearly indicated the trustee...so much for being anonymous...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Did I miss the post that allegedly involves a BK trustee? I didn't catch it and I'm the one that started this shit.

  41. Dear The Lawyer who outed the BK Hottie(s),

Get over your fucking self. Who gives a flying shit that you missed your own self imposed deadline?

    Fuck off.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @9:21

That you refer to this blog as feces is appropriate.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @924
Wow. Forgive the guy for apologizing for failing to do what he said he would do. It's called character.

Did you miss you afternoon dose of Zanax? You're out of your mind.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Any attorney worth his weight in salt knows that it's Xanax.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 9:22:

    Fuck that noise.

Character would be "sorry I was running late. i got tied up"

Instead, fucktard was on his high horse with his "i DO have a practice to run" fucking bullshit.

Oh, I know who the mythical BK hottie is!!! OMG. I JUST FUCKING JIZZED MY PANTS BECAUSE YOU KNOW THE ULTRA SECRET IDENTITY OF A MARGINALLY ATTRACTIVE WOMAN. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Consequently, I maintain my position. Fuck off. Put yourself on that list too.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 1107 apparently missed his morning dose of Xanex too.

    What a dick.

    ReplyDelete
  47. If I have the right person (J.R.), she is very attractive compared with the population as a whole, and lawyer hot.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Marginally attractive? No way, my friend. She is an Uber-Babe of the highest quality. Believe me, for I am the BK Bastard.
