The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nomination of local Attorney Gloria Navarro to serve as U.S. district judge in Nevada. Harry Reid said words in response. The approval moves Navarro one step closer to lifetime appointment. Next stop is the full Senate for partisan political posturing confirmation.
On a side note ... can anyone get us a better picture of this lady? The one above is from the RJ, and it looks like they cut it out of her high school yearbook. Google gives us the Miss Cougar U.S.A. Gloria Navarro. They are different people, right? Right?!

She pretty much looks like that -- a true baby face. She looks 10-15 years younger than she really is.
