An anonymous tipster contacted me today to tell me that Albright Stoddard let go
Can anyone confirm if it was indeed
In addition, Martha Ashcraft left Lewis & Roca to start her own practice. Marti was the President of the CCBA in 1997. From what I've heard about her legal skills, she will be very successful. Good luck with your new practice!
Martha Ashcraft is great. I know that my firm wanted to recruit her at one point.
ReplyDeleteI just looked up Albright Stoddard. Am I correct that they just went from 15 attorneys to 10 attorneys. Holy crap! That means they let go of five of their eight associates.
ReplyDeleteIs my math correct?
It seems like the previous layoffs were larger firms. I hope this isn't a sign that smaller firms are going to make big cuts.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to our fallen colleagues. I hope you land on your feet quickly. This recession is getting really tiresome.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they fired Troy Fox. Too bad, he is the best attorney in Nevada.

ReplyDeleteTroy Fox? The annoying gunner kid who couldn't take a professor telling him he was wrong? Seriously...
I don't know Troy Fox from a hole in the ground, but I think we should have some sort of understanding (basic consideration) to not "out" associates who haven't thrust themselves into the limelight so to speak.
ReplyDeleteUnder this new rule, partners and advertising attorneys are fair game.
Best of luck to the former ASWA associates.
I heard there are actually only 7 practicing attorneys still at the firm; four partners and three very spooked associates.
ReplyDeleteJust associates but no support staff? What's wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't hit their web site yet.
ReplyDeleteHeard earlier that the managing partner is leaving for three years for mission.
ReplyDeletetroy didnt get fired, he left months ago before it hit the fan. managing partner already left and the returning partner made the cuts, staff has also been let go.
ReplyDeleteWow! The continual layoffs are scary and I agree, this recession is getting tiresome. Has anybody heard about how other firms are doing?

ReplyDeleteI previously worked at the firm and more staff was let go than associates, but they did let go of at least 3 associates for sure and 1 was still on contract, and 1 left before he/she got let go.
