  1. So is this where all the partners of the "big" firms go around patting each other on the back?

Is there even any criteria involved in this?

  2. Yes, take an ad out in the magazine and see how your stock rises.

  3. I don't know if this is a Freudian Slip or not, but it is TRUE...

"Meanette McPherson - Schwartzer & McPherson" She is a real 'meany'.

    Isn't she Jeanette??

  4. Ms. McPherson is no longer "mean"

  5. I'd agree that a few of those names are attorneys who are basically out to pasture. They may have been great in their day, and may even still be good on the rare occasion that they make it into a court house, but I don't think it's an accurate depiction of the current "Super Lawyers" from Nevada.

  6. Funny, but notwithstanding the lack of apparent criteria, I actually agree that most of the names on this list are some of the best lawyers in the state.

P.S. Jeanette McPherson is one of the nicest lawyers I know, and very smart.

P.P.S. It is Laurel Davis, not Laura.

  7. Leave it to LU to piss off Jeanette McPherson one of the nicest attorneys in town outside of court and I have had some major battles with her inside of court.

  8. ROFL.
    BK Atty-

I wouldn't know McPhearson from 'Adam', or 'Eve' for that matter. I've just heard she is a real 'meany'. If that pisses her off, she's also 'thin-skinned', which may be why I've heard she is a 'meany'.

However, I especially enjoyed your scolding me for being wrong about McPhearson while letting me know I was right by stating, she is "one of the nicest attorneys in town outside of court". Either a person are nice or not, inside & outside of court. There is no difference. Too many attorneys believe there is a difference. If McPhearson is one of those, then, you rested my case on the irony of the typo.

Personally, I have no idea who she is, other than reputation, as I've not had the pleasure of beating, I mean meeting, her in court or otherwise...this story is all about reputation, though, & I was merely pointing out the 'irony' in LE's typo.

BTW, Can one actually have 'major battles' in Bankruptcy Court, assuming that is where you battle?

  9. I doubt Jeanette waste her time reading this blog- she actually has work to do as opposed to a certain solo practitioner who always has time to "ROFL" (what are you 13year old girl?).

My own personal experience with Jeanette is that she nice both inside and outside of court. If people think she’s mean it is probably because she actually a competent attorney who know what she’s doing.

  10. @ 10:26 AM

Well, I'll stand up for LE & the crew at WWL. I don't think it is a "waste of time" reading this Blog. If you do, why r u here?

BTW, I'm only 12. But one day I hope to grow up & be you, a walking dichotomy of self-laothing (for reading WWL) & pride (for not working hard enough).

Kindest Regards to McPhearson...Evidently you are a very good person.

  11. No criteria involved whatsoever or else attorneys like Laurel Davis would not be on there.

Many of the other attorneys listed are good but not the best of NV. The individuals who made the list probably lobbied the hardest for the votes. Who said law isn't political?
