We've been hearing some rumors that Clark County District Court's judicial hottie, Judge Stefany Miley (Dept. 23), was involved in an altercation at a soccer field. The rumor is that she allegedly assaulted a soccer mom a few months back and that a police report was filed alleging assault and battery.Well , turns out there is a police report filed with Las Vegas Metro:

Relax everyone, nothing will ever come of this. For goodness sake, it's not like she took payoffs. If Don Mosley is still a sitting judge after all the crap he's been involved in, a little playground scrape shouldn't hurt little Steffy Miley. Unfortunately, someone like Miley is a perfect fit for the Clark County bench.

Well I guess it's settled, Miley's got the looks and Johnson's got the smarts. If you're thinking what I'm thinking, there is only one way to determine the superior judge (as the above mentioned qualities are equally important to a judge): MUD WRESTLING!!!!

ReplyDeleteStephanie Miley's reputation is known around her to peers to be a poor judge. Numerous Family Court Judges, were not fond of her, and the "only" reason that she won the District Court Seat, is because of the poor conduct of Judge Halverson and her other opponent, Jason Landess.Had Stephanie Miley, run in other department, she WOULD NOT HAVE WON...Let's see in five years if she decides to run again, if she will win, I highly doubt it. Her immaturity is obvious and her lack of knowledge regarding the law, is evidence through the malpractice cases, against the Miley Law Firm.

I can't help but remember back when Miles was a nervous summer law clerk who escaped to a bar during the early afternoon to try & drown her jitters while she awaited her bar exam results. Funny -- doesn't seem like it was all that long ago.

ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely know that judges read this blog. Walsh is the worst judge on the bench, and deserves to know it. Hopefully she'll get her s---- together and start trying to be a better judge.
Stephany Miley is very stupid. She is dumb enough to have something like this happen to her. I don't put it passed her to think she can push around a soccer mom and think nothing would come of it. Just think, she is judging people not so unlike her.
ReplyDeleteMiley failed the bar at least once. She's a dumb trust-fund kid from some Texas backwater. But long neck or no long neck, you can't argue with those who have pointed out that she's got a rack. Back in the late 90's, she and her husband were known as "Big Bird" and "Sloppy".

ReplyDeleteStephanie Miley, would not hesitate, to call on anyone to hire her husband Randy/Edward Miley, for what could benefit them. If, proper authorities were really doing a thorough investigation on Stephanie Miley, they would find that whatever the temper tantrum, that she showed on the soccer field, doesn't compare to her temper tantrum, when she is on the phone talking to you. Amazing how quickly she forgets, all the "favors" that she asked for years prior, and then, she shows childish behavior when you say: "NO".

ReplyDeleteAs a lawyer she was competely incompetent. She wore out her welcome at several defense firms (after six months or so, it was tough for partners to overlook her crappy work, despite her good looks). Even Bob Eglet got rid of her after a short stint. Having her on the District Court demonstrates what a joke our Nevada judiciary really is.
ReplyDeleteLet's see, she succeeded Elizabeth Halverson, right? Despite the marked difference in appearance, they are about equal in legal acumen. In light of that, can anyone really make a case against having an appointed judiciary in Nevada?
Even if we swtiched to the Missouri Rule in appointing judges, the only qualified attorneys to be judges would be the litigators with actual trial experience (and no, I'm not just talking about DAs/PDs - you guys don't know squat about Civil Procedure). This idea was originally suggested by Al Marquis. I agree with the idea, although someone will always have a differing opinion. If anything, we need to stop electing judges from a public who obviously doesn't know the difference between Jack and Jill when casting their vote.
ReplyDeleteYep - its been a while and nothing has happened. DA hasn't said anything about this "fight" and hasn't filed charges yet. Of course, nothing is going to happen. Too bad - she doesn't belong on the bench. Never did.

Stephanie Miley - you are lucky. I just read the city attorney decided not to press charges so you are out of the woods this time. (Like we didn't know this was going to happen.) I have to say: Nice Supterfuge though. Stating you were protecting your child... ha. I know of this incident (this is such a small town) - wasn't this all about YOU being embarrassed when your team found out you were talking badly about a child on the team? Wasn't this a DISABLED boy you thought shouldn't be playing soccer and you wanted to get him off the team because he was ruining it and losing games for them? I understand his mom overheard you talking loudly about how bad he was and he shouldn't be on the team and she was just devastated when she heard this. So you took it out on someone else because you were pissed off you got caught.Bad Bad Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteJudge Miley is the worst judge ever. She gave my drug addict, abusive alcoholic x 50/50 custody of our children. When I found out her husband beat her, I was estatic, now she knows what I went through. All I can say is thank god she is out of the family court. She is incredibly stupid and has no decision making skills whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteMy friend went through divorce and custody with Miley as judge and his ex never let him see the child, per the agreement. Nevertheless, Miley never punished the mother. Several years later, he was 2 months late on child support during the darkest days of the recession (he worked in Real Estate). He was thrown in jail for two weeks around the holidays... Nice...

Judge Miley is a moron. How can she be taken seriously as a family court judge? She calls the police on her husband, and is now pregnant with his baby? Sounds like she needs to get her own house in order before judging others. By the way folks...she's far from hot. She's like 7 feet tall. If I was married to her, I'd drink too.
