Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, Rudy tries to tackle his contractor after 3 years of hard work

Few people believed that "5 foot nothing, 100 and nothing" Rudy Ruettiger could walk onto the football field at Notre Dame and ever play a second of college football. Well, Rudy proved 'em wrong. Showed up every day, practiced with heart, "played like a champion" and at the end of his senior season, they let him on the field for a minute.

He just wishes his contractor would build his multi-million dollar home with the same level of "heart" (LV Sun):

Motivational speaker Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger is suing a contractor over problems with a $5.3 million house he's building in Las Vegas.

Ruettiger, his wife, Cheryl Ruettiger, and their Henderson company, Rudy International Motivational Speaking Ltd., filed suit in Clark County District Court on Tuesday against Premier Building Group Inc. of Las Vegas.

The suit says the Ruettigers purchased land at 22 Olympia Hills Circle in the Southern Highlands community and in January 2006 hired Premier to build a home there with a maximum budget of $5.3 million.

Ruettiger, the inspiration for the 1993 Notre Dame football movie "Rudy," claims in the lawsuit that construction of the home has been marred by problems and that the contractor failed to complete and then abandoned the project.

And what attorney has enough heart to represent Rudy? It's James W Pengilly of Pengilly Robbins Slater. Give it all you've got Mr. Pengilly. If you try hard enough and work hard enough, there's a good chance Jon Favreau will show up at the trial and yell "Who's the wild man now?!?" Go get 'em tiger.

  1. Pengilly's biting the hand that fed him? He represented builders and developers for years.

  2. There's more money to be made on the plaintiffs' side than defending.

  3. Rudy is far from the motivational speaker, as described. Ask Rudy about the company e-Destiny and ask Rudy about the money regarding his so-called "water" deal, or the condo's where he is the DEFENDANT on condo's, where he doesn't pay his loan....Ask good ole Rudy about that? No sympathy here, just the "experience" talking in regards to the business dealings that Rudy gets involved in...Where there is smoke, there is FIRE!

  4. Yea, but after Pengilly SUCKED sooo bad in Court and lost big, for no good reason, he couldn't land a big contractor if he paid them to let him represent them. Just my opinion. I don't think Rudy will be impressed.

  5. Defense attorneys make the worst plaintiffs' attorneys because they think that their one plaintiffs' case is a lottery ticket.

  6. What about Adam Kutner? He's a former insurance defense attorney and will work hard to get you the maximum settlement. I love how he sells his clients short in his commercials, but at least he's honest.

  7. All Pengilly sees is dollar signs so Rudy better watch his back. He should of looked a little more into the integrity of the attorney before he hired him because Pengilly doesn't have any. He'll be pawned off on an associate in no time and won't be able to get a call back from Pengilly to save his life

  8. James Pengilly????? I'm sure he lied through his teeth to get his client and will surely dissapoint. Take a look at his history in representing developer clients. The man is a crook and a scumbag. He has defrauded his clients for years. Good luck Rudy!!

  9. Is as bad as can
    He knows
    He’s the best

    He’s big and he’s strong
And he knows he is badder
And he knows what he gets
    He knows what he knows
    He knows what we have
    He knows what he gets
    It gets better

  11. Not to mention he's known to be quite the booze-hound and rarely shows up to the office anyway. Rumor is that he sends other partners or associates on his appearances, and is MIA all day at "lunch". Now that's professionalism at it's best right there! Rudy might has well have hired one of those TV commercial ambulance chasers!! Fact is that James is a unethical attorney with no regard for his clients, until the cash comes his way. I'm sure Rudy will find out one way or another.
